Beata Virgo

For SSAATTBB Chorus, A'capella.

A song that I wrote for Utah State University Chorale for their annual winter voices concert at St. Thomas Aquinas.  The lyrics of Beata Virgo were taken from the text of Magnum Mysterium.  “I was inspired to write a song that represents Mary’s strength and her essence as a woman.  I think of her unique role as the mother of the savior and the inner strength that she must have had to accomplish and endure such a task.”  The colorful tonalities were chosen to represent the different aspects of her essence.
